    Elemental (2016)
(Colorado State University. Libraries, 2016-04-01) Unidentified speaker; Colorado State University. Department of Design and Merchandising, producer
The notion of "Elemental" represents both the great beauty and the tumultuous unpredictability of our world. The theme came from fashion forecasting research on WGSN, a global trend forecasting service. The event, presented by the Department of Design and Merchandising, highlights 22 collections created by graduating apparel design students in an unforgettable full-stage theatrical production. Forty-eight models will feature 106 exquisite garments produced during the designers' academic careers, involving everything from sketching and pattern-making to garment construction. It is a showcase of diverse collections, including children's wear, men's wear, contemporary design and bridal fashions.

    Destinations (2013)
(Colorado State University. Libraries, 2013-03-08) Colorado State University. Department of Design and Merchandising, producer
Colorado State University students present annual apparel design show, "Destinations." Get your passports ready: This year the Colorado State University apparel and design show will take you on a global journey of fashion. "Destinations" will showcase the original works of 23 senior designers, divided into four categories: "Urban Edge," "Extreme Altitudes," "Mystic Woodlands," and "European Elegance." From sleek active wear to intricate gowns, the talent of these designers, inspired by travel destinations, is sure to spark ideas for your next vacation. For the second year, garments made from recycled military parachutes will be featured on the runway. The parachutes are donated by nonprofit organization Aspen Pointe and CSU students use them to design one-of-a-kind pieces. Last year students repurposed parachute fabric into wedding dresses, cocktail dresses and jackets.

    Rendering reality (2014)
(Colorado State University. Libraries, 2014-03-07) Colorado State University. Department of Design and Merchandising, producer
The annual CSU Fashion Show 2014 Rendering Reality will present 25 different collections designed by seniors in the apparel design and production concentration in the Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University. These collections are the highlight of the designers' academic careers, as each piece is designed, constructed, and styled by the students. Design students selected a target market, product category and price zone for their collections. The pieces shown on the runway are unique to the designer, who has drawn the designs, made the patterns, constructed the garment and chosen the fabric. Another unique aspect of the show is the incorporation of decommissioned parachutes into designs. Aspen Pointe, a nonprofit veteran rehabilitation center in Colorado Springs, has donated the parachutes to be utilized in the creation of 14 garments to be displayed.

Haute off the press: designer's edition (2010)
(Colorado State University. Libraries, 2010-03-29) Wozniak, Paul, speaker; Colorado State University. Department of Design and Merchandising, producer
Colorado State University's Department of Design and Merchandising presents its 2010 Student Apparel Design Show "Haute off the Press: Designer's Edition." This year's event showcases original designs created by students in the Fall 2009 capstone course in the apparel design and production concentration. Students have developed skills in market research and trend forecasting, design and production processes and the marketing of finished apparel lines, all of which were put to use to create the clothing and entire apparel show. The student designers have gained experience developing product technical packages and using computer-aided design programs to assist in pattern drafting, garment sketches, textile designs and websites for their final lines.
